Ned Curran

President

With a career in commercial real estate and accounting spanning nearly 40 years, Curran oversees strategy and daily operations of Northwood Office. Previously, he was President & CEO of The Bissell Companies. Before joining Bissell, Curran worked at McDevitt Street Bovis (MSB) as Vice President – Taxes. In this position, he coordinated oversight of the company’s substantial real estate portfolio of office, retail and multi-family properties. Before working at MSB, Curran began his professional career as a CPA with Ernst & Young, where he served as Director of Tax for the Charlotte office. Curran serves on the board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and is the past chair of the North Carolina Board of Transportation and the past chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

Clifton S. Coble

President, Development

With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Coble oversees all commercial development projects for Northwood Office. Previously, he held the same role at The Bissell Companies. Under Coble’s leadership, more than five million square feet, which includes two million square feet of LEED® Gold speculative office space, and four hotels, have been developed at Ballantyne. This represents one of the largest commitments to sustainable development in the nation. Coble is the immediate-past President of NAIOP Charlotte and is very involved in the U.S. Green Building Council, Urban Land Institute (ULI) Charlotte District Council, Real Estate & Building Industry Coalition (REBIC) and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Tom Pizzo

President, Property Services

With more than 20 years of commercial real estate development and management experience, Pizzo is responsible for property management and interior construction, along with the three corporate shared services divisions of engineering, IT and security. In this capacity, he oversees the operations of more than six million square feet of Class A commercial office space in Charlotte, NC. Pizzo is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), receiving his Accredited Commercial Manager Designation in 2009. He recently served as a board member of the Ballantyne Chapter of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

David Strawn

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Strawn is responsible for all legal matters associated with the organization. Most recently, Strawn served in this capacity at The Bissell Companies. Prior to that, Strawn ran a private practice, under the name of David V. Strawn, P.C, concentrating in real estate. During this time, David represented Bissell, Marsh and others in commercial leasing and related areas. Strawn has been Bissell’s lead attorney on leasing matters for decades. Prior to managing his private practice, Strawn served as Vice President and General Counsel at Bissell. Before initially joining Bissell, he operated as a solo practice. Strawn is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ted Mueller

Ted Mueller

Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Operations

With 16 years in IT and finance, Mueller leads all operations and the IT team for Northwood Office. He also served in this capacity at The Bissell Companies. Prior to coming to Bissell, Mueller led a global consulting team of 130 supporting a major Charlotte-based financial services company.  Additionally, he spent 11 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Mueller held multiple positions at Starwood, including corporate IT director for new builds and transitions, area IT director for the Caribbean and South Fla., and director of IT at the Westin Charlotte.

Marvin O. Burch

Marvin O. Burch, CHS-III

Director of Security

Burch is responsible for overseeing the safety as well as implementing security strategies for Ballantyne Corporate Park to include managing the security team. Burch also held this role at The Bissell Companies. Prior to joining Bissell, Burch served as security manager at EquiFirst Corporation. He also was investigator for CMS Law Enforcement. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate security at Duke Energy. In addition, Burch served as a reserve deputy sheriff at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years.

Director of Engineering

Fida is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the entire property services portfolio, including Ballantyne Corporate Park, SouthPark Office Properties, Providence Park and Airport Center.

Christina Thigpen

Christina Thigpen

Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Thigpen oversees strategic communication efforts for the Bissell portfolio, including commercial development, office leasing, property services, hotels, golf, spa and Ballantyne Magazine. Prior to her current role, Thigpen served as director of marketing & public relations for the organization. Thigpen joined Bissell as public relations manager at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge. Earlier in her career, Thigpen worked in entertainment marketing at Edelman and corporate communications at Lifetime Television. She is president of PRSA Charlotte and serves as chair of the Ballantyne Chapter of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

Rhonda Walcott

Rhonda Walcott

Vice President & Controller

Walcott is responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting functions at Northwood Office. She also held this role at The Bissell Companies. Prior to joining Bissell, Walcott served as director of finance for the retail division at Crosland. Walcott previously held various accounting management positions in manufacturing, technology and chemical industries. Walcott is a NC Certified Public Accountant.

Terry Young

Managing Director, Human Resources

With 23 years of experience in employee relations, recruitment, training, policy development and benefits administration, Young oversees all employee-based initiatives on behalf of Northwood Office. She also served in this capacity at The Bissell Companies. Before that, she was director of human resources for Bissell Hotels. Young joined Bissell as director of human resources at The Park Hotel. Prior to that, Young worked as director of human resources at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif. Earlier in her career, Young was human resources manager at global manufacturer CUI.
